I get a call at 9 in the morning on a Saturday from some unknown and random number. Even though I'm up at 8 every day, I still like to remain in bed on a Saturday and work from bed - but not this saturday. The call was from the police! Being the extremely law abiding citizen that I am, this was very unusual - a first actually.
Police Officer: "Do you have a grey car with number plate .....?"
Me: "Yes"
PO: "Where did you park your car?"
Me: "On the side of the road as usual.."
Now, in my head, I'm thinking some large piece of construction equipment or material has fallen on the car and crushed it beyond recognition. Pretty much every parking spot is near a construction zone - so I thought it was bound to happen eventually.
In the end - apparently I had parked in an area that was specifically for construction vehicles only. What? There were no such signs where I parked - I know because the only cone that was near my car was put there by me after I parked the car. Also, I've parked in this very same spot before. I was asked to move my car or have it towed away. So I took a picture of the spot, the only thing I see is what seems to be an entrance on the blue wall. No other signs. Nothing that would indicate that I shouldn't park there.

I'm actually glad I got a call from the police officer rather than finding it towed away or something. Yay for technology and information.
